Sisterlocks at 169 days with relaxed ends

As I browsed through my photo library, I discovered this picture taken on May 24, 2010. 169 days after the start of my transition journey from relaxed to natural hair. Yes. It was 5 months after the installation - Sisterlocks roots with relaxed ends.

Fabulous Five Relaxed and Natural

I have made the transition from relaxed to natural hair. I am now 100% natural with Sisterlocks, and giving thanks that my journey is fabulous. I continue to enjoy the experience, and explore the beauty of being natural.

this is exactly what i was looking for. I have relaxed hair with about 1/2 an inch of new growth right now. Im growing it out for sister locks, but dont want to completely cut off all my hair down to the natural. i wanted to see what it would look like if i started my locks while my ends stayed relaxed. Thank you

You are welcome, Syleethia. I had similar concerns when I started. That is one of the reasons I decided to track my progress with this blog. I have posted some pictures with a few words on my progress over time. The lastest article Sisterlocks Timeline at http://klassikurlz.wordpress.com/2013/01/01/sisterlocks-timeline/ shows a series of pictures from installation to 36 months. Have you locked your hair?
